[Linux] Cannot access file alsa.conf

[Linux] Cannot access file alsa.conf

Operating System

Linux, Manjaro i3 (18.0)

Cannot access file /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf

I have a fresh install of Manjaro i3 (18.0) and installed Spotify using Snap. When I tried to play a song it just skips every song immidietly and fast. The error it is giving is `Cannot access file /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf` every time Spotify tries to play a song (the concerning file does exists). Is there a solution to fixing this problem?

Misc

Audio works in every other application (VLC, firefox etc.). I also used pulse audio, this worked, but it caused bugs; e.g. unmuting didn't work.

A piece of log output running `spotify --show-console`

I'm getting the exact same issue on Ubuntu 18.10.
None of the suggestions I've found online have solved this problem.  Does any one have any suggestions?
