Linux: Offline mode thinks that my computer has a twin.

Linux: Offline mode thinks that my computer has a twin.

1. Platform and operating system

Linux Mint 8.1 (a derivative of Ubuntu which is based on Debian).

2. Version of Spotify you're running

1.0.49.125.g72ee7853

3. IOffline devices - Spotify .pngs this happening over WiFi? 3G/4G? Both?

Only in WiFi, I don't allow download on cellular connection

4. How much storage you have left on your device?

The problem is mainly on my Linux Mint computer. I have 112 Gb of free
space.

On my iPhone 6, I have 74.2 Gb of free space.

5. A full description of the issue, with as much detail as possible.

The problem is mainly on my computer. Although is happened once on my
iPhone this last month.

I have 3 devices (Linux Mint computer, iPhone 6 and a iPad Mini4).

I only dowload music on my iPhone 6 and my Linux Computer.

It seems that Spotify consider my computer like 2 separate devices (see
screenshoat taken on
https://www.spotify.com/us/account/offline-devices/).

So on my computer, it happens reguraly that when I launch Spotify, it
will ask for my password (even if I checked the "keep session open"
option. Then Spotify will either download again all songs, or just a
subset of my downloaded songs.

I have deleted my Linux computer on the devices page
(https://www.spotify.com/us/account/offline-devices/) and then deleted
Spotify (sudo apt remove spotify-client) and the Spotify cache
(~/.cache/spotify) and reinstalled Spotify (sudo apt install
spotify-client) but I still see the same behavior.

This is very annoying since I'm paying every month for a pro account to
have this off line month.

6. How long you've had this issue.

I think it started a month ago.

7. What actions led to it happening.

I don't know.

8. Does the issue appear on any other devices that you use Spotify on?

It happened once on my iPhone 6 after I experienced these problems on my
Linux computer.

Regards

-Emmanuel
