Linux client and spotify connect

Linux client and spotify connect

2 Linux computers (Ubuntu/Lubuntu) and an android smartphone

Hi,

I am having problems with spotify connect seeing the 2 linux computers that I have at home. However, the Android app does see one of the computers (always the one in which spotify was more recently started). Other users have reported the same issue, and I tried the workaround suggested here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Linux/spotify-connect-not-working-properly-on-linux/m-p/457...

But this hasn't worked for me. Has anyone found another workaround? Or are there plans for fixing this bug in future versions?

EDIT: I have checked and it works if I use the web player instead, but this doesn't allow for gapless playing.

Thanks

So, I have created a new user account in my mini-pc (running Lubuntu, and connected to the sound system), and now everything works fine. Hope this helps someone.
