Local files not appearing on phone, uploaded from a Linux

I uploaded several songs to Spotify on a Linux, and we initially had problems playing the songs, but we were able to play them on the computer. I tried to play the songs on my phone, but the playlist said it had nothing in it from the inside. It said I had 4 songs from the outside of the playlist I added the songs to, but when entering the playlist, nothing was in it. Please help.
