Low resolution album art and unnecessary spotify indicator

Low resolution album art and unnecessary spotify indicator

First: Thank very much Spotify-team for making a native Linux-Client! This is a tremendously awesome feature, which makes you stand out in the range of aviable music streaming services.

The program works very well in terms of functionality. But there are two little things disturbing the almost perfect experience (see attached screenshot)

#1: For the monthly price of a premuim account I'd glad to get premium album art. Which I think of as decent resolutioned without a Spotify-logo in it

#2: As you can see common desktop environmets ship with a well equipped music control indicator. So it would be nice to have an option to disable Spotifys indicator (the non colour matching one)

As you can see this is a bit nitpicking, but it'd enhance the linux desktop integration a lot and thus make it feel more native. On the other hand it shouldn't be too hard to integrate these changes so you might give it a go..

Thank you once again and keep up the good work 🙂
