Minimize to systray?

Why there is no minimize to systray in 2021, is it that hard to do?
Nowadays almost all programs have the ability to run in background and have a systray icon, see the attachment.

I'm running Ubuntu 21.10 and not being able to run spotify in the background with a systray icon is almost a deal breaker.
And  no, having it minimized to taskbar is not the same with running in the background because it's really annoying and messing with my workflow when have many programs open in taskbar.
