My Question or Issue

I installed the spotify client as a Snap. To be able to use local files which are located on a different partition and not in my home directory I had to use the "--classic" install option.

As I tried to launch Spotify today it wouldn't open the window, but started reading my disk.

It started MOVING (not copying) my LOCAL FILES from my data partition to my home folder without any notice. So I killed the "mv" process and the Spotify window appeard.

Who thought it is a good idea to move the users local files witout question?

It could be that the limitations of snap format lead to this but modifying local files should always be a taboo for any application.
