Solved!

On Ubuntu 16.04 nothing happens when you click Settings

I have tried to delete my spotify contents from .local, .config and .cache, but the following behavior sticks.

On Ubuntu 16.04, when opening Spotify, I can not access any of the entries in the top right dropdown menu. Most critical is Settings, but it would also be nice to enter Private Session, Account and Logout.

Any idea how to debug this?

No solution yet. We still have not figured out why this is a problem and why it only affects a few people.

There are a few others that have reported the same problem in this thread:

A workaround is to use the keyboard and hit enter when hovering over settings.

Another workaround is to type spotify:settings in the search bar.

I'm having the same problem. Any solution yet? I'm paying for premium and have set alsa with no dmixer for bit perfect audio - I would be great to actually get "extreme quality" working. Any luck editing the config files manually?

PS I'm running Lubuntu 16.04 32 bit. No idea of that make any difference.

Cheers
