The most frustrating thing about this is that they don't even need to do any work - they just need to make a statement saying "we allow linux distros to package and redistribute spotify". That's the reason it's in the AUr but not the official repo - the AUR package has your computer download directly from spotify, which is why it broke for a while.
Spotify, please just say yes so all the linux distros can make proper packages freely.
Let's get this in the official Arch repositories.
This would be nice....
Yes, something totally free and adding value to Spotify product. Totally worth it.
+1 - another premium user here and I would like to see it properly available on Arch Linux.
The author has made a courteous, well reasoned and workable request which makes sense from a marketing perspective. Nevermind also being inclusive and progressive/forward-thinking - seems like an intuitive action for Spotify.
Thanks
Hi,
I try to answer, but spotify keeps flagging my posts are **bleep**/abuse. I reported this issue and hope the post will come back. In the meantime, please read it here:

This is sa bad in all means....
Being new Premium Spotify user I would like to see positive response from Spotify to have it in official repos.
@NicoHood
Thanks a lot for your effort.
