Run Spotify in Ubuntu with local files saved to seperate HDD

Run Spotify in Ubuntu with local files saved to seperate HDD

Hi!

I'm running Spotify in Ubuntu on an SSD and would like to change the directory for offline songs storage to a larger HDD I have available. The HDD is mounted in /XXXX and the permissions to rwx it are for my standard user account.

When I try to select the correct folder in the Spotify settings, it is not accessible. I assume this is due to Spotify not having the correct permissions.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how I could go about doing this?

Many thanks...
