[SOLVED] Spotify desktop app for Puppy Linux 64 bit has no connection

[SOLVED] Spotify desktop app for Puppy Linux 64 bit has no connection

Spotify desktop app worked great using 32 bit Puppy Linux (Tahrpup) but I got a better laptop and installed 64 bit Tahrpup. There is a Spotify Quickpet which I installed and I am able to log on to my account. But when I play a song I get the following message:

spotifyerror.png

I've rebooted both my PC and router several times. Like I say, it worked fine with the same network and settings when I used 32 bit Tahrpup. Can I roll back to that version with 64 bit Tahrpup?

I don't write code or even know how to use the Terminal. But I can follow detailed step-by-step instructions if there is a fix for this. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hey @Relztrah,

Connection issues are quite easy to troubleshoot : )

Can you strace Spotify and let me know the output?

strace spotify > $HOME/spotify-dump 2>&1

As it turns out, I had no sound whatsoever, not just from Spotify. I played with the sound settings for a while and eventually found that it was muted.
