Spotify starts but never ends to load

 

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Install latest stable spotify client on Debian Stretch

 

I tried the aboved links methods to fix but error message indicates software issues:

 

Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/fonts.conf", line 160: blank doesn't take any effect anymore. please remove it from your fonts.conf
[0327/115040.746084:ERROR:nss_util.cc(724)] After loading Root Certs, loaded==false: NSS error code: -8018
ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by environment.

This looks like my attempt to work around the libcurl4 incompatibility problem failed.

Well as you say I see that as a dangerous work around because I am not aware which softare on my os is relying on libcurl4 with libcurl4 interface. There will be dragons!

In case someone runs into the same problem I got rid of the message by deleting .pki folder in my home directory. Spotify still does not start then but at least I am another step closer to a solution.
