Spotify Connect gone missing on Linux client

Spotify Connect used to be available in the linux client (I'm running Ubuntu 14.04) but seems to have been removed after a recent update.

Is there any news on if it's coming back or how to reenable? Although it was flaky it did work most of the time so I hope it's not been canned for good.

Cheers,

Phil

Hey @philb0,

Can you please let me know the version you are running?

I have no issues with Spotify Connect with the most recent non-stable version.

You can get the .deb from here.

Thanks for the quick response.

Turns I was on an old version (0.9.xxx) - I thought the client auto-updated itself.

Upgrading from the link you sent works. All good now, thanks!

Hey @philb0,

I am glad it worked out. 0.9.xxx is the latest stable version and it never gets auto-update to non-stable version, that's the reason.

Enjoy the music! ♪♫
