Spotify GUI on Ubuntu 18.04 and 19.10 (KDE Plasma 5) freezes

My Question or Issue

The GUI on spotify will freeze after a few seconds opening the app, but the song will keep playing and media player buttons still work. I tried installing from the deb, the repo and snap.
