Spotify URI link to song position no longer works

Hi,

a few weeks ago, I got the major client update (spotify-client 1:1.1.55.498.gf9a83c60 according to synaptic). There used to be a rather secret feature that enabled me to link to specific song positions using a Spotify URI by appending "#MM:SS" to the URI, MM being the minutes and SS the seconds. This feature seems to be gone now - songs always start playing from the beginning when I enter the URI into the search bar. Is this on purpose? Is there perhaps a workaround of sorts?

My setup:

• Lenovo Thinkpad T460S, Linux Mint 20.1 Ulyssa
• Spotify Premium
• spotify-client 1:1.1.55.498.gf9a83c60
