Spotify desktop entry disappeared after update

Hi,

My spotify client (from the snap store) got updated today and I lost my desktop entry (it doesn't show up in the dock or in the "all applications" list). Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I tried adding a desktop entry myself in /usr/share/applications but to no avail. Thanks!

I ran into this same issue too. I was able to fix it by running

cp /var/lib/snapd/desktop/applications/spotify_spotify.desktop ~/.local/share/applications/

I am running Kubuntu 18.04.
