Spotify for Linux no longer listed as "available devices" when using "connect"

up until this morning 4/8/2016 my android devices were able to operate my Linux desktop Spotify client (1.0.25.127.g58007b4c)  Now the android devices only sporatically list my Linux Desktop client and once listed they do not connect.  I've a couple times made the connection only to chage a playlist from Android and then this breaks the connection.  My linux version is Ubuntu 14.04)(3.19.0-58-generic)  Please somebody help me if possible. no updates were done to my Linux distribution prior to this condition.

well, I'm not sure what happened, but all seems to be working as was before today.  Spotify connect for linux is working again.

The problem persists, Android devices can onlyy sporatically connect to laptop(used as media player).
