Spotify sending garbage to HTTP Proxy

Spotify sending garbage to HTTP Proxy

Hey there,

I found out that if Spotify is configured to use HTTPS Proxy, it sends garbage to it. Spotify plays its songs fine, tho, but now and then some cover art, buttons or stuff is missing, and the proxy logs get filled with "invalid request" log lines.

I sniffed those request, and that's how such a TCP stream looks:

...........T.X..3..XA rk...;...aE(r.O..1.X
..(.
...9.k.5.=.....#.....'.3.g.2...../.<.
...:.........localhost......
.................#..uO...........HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
Server: squid/3.3.8
Mime-Version: 1.0
Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2015 15:54:24 GMT
Content-Type: text/html
Content-Length: 3321
X-Squid-Error: ERR_INVALID_URL 0
[...]

 The word "localhost" showing up here is the proxy host in my case.

It's extremely easy to reproduce, because when starting up Spotify, it causes about 20 of these requests. They also show up now and then while spotify is running, but it always appears when starting it.

This has been reproduced with Spotify 0.9.11.26.g995ec043 runnung on Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit. But while searching for this issue on the net, I found other admins noticing that, so I assume it's platform independent.
