Track not removed from Play Queue once played

When selecting to 'Queue' tracks, the tracks are added to the front of the Play Queue and are removed from it once played - this is good and as I would expect.

However if instead of selecting 'Queue', I (often accidentally) press 'Play', (from Discover, Album or Artist page, not by selecting a playlist)  the first track starts playing immediately and the rest are queued after any 'queued' tracks. The problem is that these tracked selected via 'Play' remain in the Play Queue even I have listened to them. Once they have played they should be removed from the Play Queue in the same way as tracks which were added via 'Queue'.
