Ubuntu 18.04LTS Issue Thread

Ubuntu 18.04LTS Issue Thread

The spotify-client install is built against libcurl3, and it's not available for 18.04LTS (and presumably never will be), so while we continue to upvote the please-rebuild-spotify-client-using-libcurl4 thread and wait, we have been relying on the snap install. The snap install has been broken a couple times since 18.04LTS went to a daily build, and this morning for me (April 3rd) it's broken again:

spotify_spotify.desktop[8172]: failed to create prefix path: /tmp/snap.rootfs_C2D74Z/var/lib/snapd/lib/vulkan/icd.d: Permission denied

Removing the snap and reinstalling didn't change anything.

I don't fully understand what is going on here, but it looks very much like this problem:

snap refresh --beta core fixed it for me.
