Ubuntu Playlist Syncing For Offline Use (Solved)

Ubuntu Playlist Syncing For Offline Use (Solved)

So I am very new to Ubuntu and Linux for that matter.  I installed Spotfiy and got everything working correctly, but I could not get it to sync my playlist for offline use.  Spotify kept telling me to check disk space and I have ample room since this is a fresh OS install.  To fix this, I restarted my system, increased the cache space manualy in the preference window to 10gb, closed spotify, and then I ran spotify in the terminal with elevated permissions "sudo spotify" and was then able to download the tracks (gksudo crashes).

You do not necessarily need to do all these steps, but they are what I did and they worked.  I couldn't find any help for this specific issue so hopefully this can help someone else.
