Ubuntu Spotify client can't play local files and crashes

Hello, 

I'm having troubles while playing local files from my computer. I added songs and songs are displayed under local files tab but when I tried to play it Spotify crashes. I don't know where to report this bug so I opened topic. I didn't search before creating this topic so hopefully someone didn't start before me.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 x64 and Spotify version 1.0.37.152.gc83ea995

This is a known bug unfortunately. There are a few workarounds until it gets fixed. I recommend this one (installing old packages from Ubuntu 14.04):
