Won't connect through facebook

I'm running Linux Mint on an Acer. I downloaded spotify via Snap. The program downloaded fine, but when I tried to sign in using my Facebook account, it said my Spotify was out of date and I needed to install the updates. I was unable to update it from the command line (or rather, couldn't figure out how to), and there was no resources online on how to update it (I presumed Spotify would automatically install on my computer with the most recent version). Can anyone help me?
