My Question or Issue

I cannot upgrade to the new 1.2.25.1011 from the current version 1.2.24.756.g7a7fc7f0

 The installation process dosn't work nor from upgrading within the Spotify App, nor installing from the install package.

Could you give us some more details so we can investigate this further? Are you seeing any error messages? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?

What you can try is to give the app a clean reinstall which will help get rid of any corrupted cache that may be causing issues and you can follow the steps under Mac here.
