All of my playlists have disappeared. I logged out. Rebooted. Logged back in. Gone. A year's worth of curating music. Gone. Please help.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.
Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

They are still available via the phone app and the web app, just not available on the desktop Mac client.

If they are not available in the desktop app, try reinstalling Spotify. If that works, you can just tell support that you have fixed it.
