Strange situation which is more of an inconvenience and mystery than full problem: I download and run the Spotify installer, it seems to work all fine. The app opens and I login, all fine. But, it's not in the apps folder and if I quit I have to download and reinstall!
I think it could be to do with the fact it is a work computer with various block requiring admin access HOWEVER how is it able to download and RUN without being technically "installed"??

My Question or Issue
Hi there @danprice84,
Thank you for reaching out to us here in the Community.
Just to confirm, do you use the desktop app or the web player?
We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
Take care!
This is regarding the desktop app, thanks!
Just to add, normally with any non-work app installation, it requires admin access, however none is prompted for when installing.
Hi again @danprice84,
Thanks for keeping in touch and for the extra info.
This depends on the permissions you have on your work computer or network, so we recommend reaching out to the IT department or the people in charge of this, since we can't know for sure what's causing this behavior as it seems to be isolated to your setup.
We hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need a hand with anything else, give us a shout.
Cheers!
