App returns to windowed mode when exiting full screen album art

Minor issue, but definitely an annoyance. If I have Spotify open in the normal interface (song selection, playlists, etc.) in full screen mode in macOS, and then I click the button in the lower right corner to enter the full screen (big album art) mode, and then I press esc or click the close button at the upper right to get back to my playlists, Spotify returns to windowed mode (kicking back to a different desktop) instead of the full screen mode it initially was in.

Consequently, I can't smoothly switch back and forth between the normal interface and the big album art interface if I want the app to stay in its own full-screen desktop.
