Device: Macbook Pro early 2015 (without touchbar)

Operating System: High Sierra version 10.13.6

 

My Question or Issue

 The Screen stuck at black whenever I try to start the application.

 

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. First I tried to reopen, it didn't help.
  2. Then I tried to restart the laptop, it didn't work.
  3. I also tried to reinstall the application (I unstall it clean and properly: I cleaned the cache etc.) it was still black screen.

Hey, thanks for reaching out.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstallation of the app. Just follow the steps here. Please try to disable Hardware Acceleration, you will find in the Spotify menu next to the Apple Menu in your Menu Bar. Phew* so many menus.

If that doesn't work either please try to create another user account and install Spotify there. Let me know how it goes 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
