Bug - Black Screen when opening Desktop App on Macbook

Every time I quit or shut down or even put my computer to sleep and try to reopen Spotify it opens to a black screen and is unuseable. This guy on Youtube provided a manual solution but it seems to happen to a lot of people (even on Windows OS)
