[Bug]Discover weekly and RR playlists don't refresh if spotify desktop left open

Spotify desktop is always open at work and at home.  To be able to see your new updated Discover Weekly or Release Radar playlists, you have to close the desktop program, and reopen it again.  If you don't, the songs in your playlists say updated 8 days ago, 9 days ago, and you never get the updated playlist unless you actually close all of spotify, reopen it, and go back to Discovery Weekly.  Then you'll see your updated list.

I'm experiencing the same problem with both DW and RR. Any ideas how to solve it besides closing and reopening?

Besides the fact that Spotify should be ashamed for lacking a proper support for paying customers, I don't understand why are lazy to the point they don't add a very simple refresh routine for the automated playlists.

 

And since the issue is reported in this useless "Community support", the best we can get is some useless solution proposed by a non-employee.

 

Spotify must learn what "Support" means (provided they care) and start listening to their paying customers.

 

Instead, they don't give a darn and think that expecting users to restart Spotify twice a week is a good enough solution.
