Bug - Volume up/down shortcuts and menu items do not work

Brief description of the issue:

Using the Volume Up/Volume Down in the Playback menu item doesn't do anything. Also, the shortcuts (⌘+↑ and ⌘+↓) do not react. Both when playing locally as well as via Spotify Connect (Gramofon)

Changing volume by clicking on the volume bar does work.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Play some music
2. Increase volume by pressing ⌘+↑ or by Playback → Volume Up

Expected behaviour:

Volume is increased

Actual behaviour:

Volume stays the same

What steps you’ve tried already:

Reinstalled Spotify

Your device and operating system

Macbook Pro 13" Early 2015

MacOS Mojave 10.14.5

The app version of Spotify you’re using:

1.1.9.383.g9f48828e

Does anyone have an idea how this is handled? It's really frustrating my Spotify experience.

Thanks for your reply. I know the remarks you mentioned, in contrary to my community status, I've been using Spotify for a long time now. It always used to work; only recently (last two months or so) it stopped working, so I definitely would say it's a newly introduced bug.
