My Question or Issue

Ever since the new update, on my desktop Spotify App I can't search for songs within any of my playlists (including my Liked Songs) or view the playlists in a different order such as A-Z or Recently Added.

Hi there @destinplusdavis,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

You should be able to search within your playlists. You should also be able to sort after the following:

  • Custom order
  • Title
  • Artist
  • Album
  • Date added

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you log in on another PC to see if the issue persist?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

I had this same issue. I'm assuming this is a Macos 11 Big Sur issue (iOS 10 doesn't exist on macbook)

As in the OPs images, there are no column labels at the top of the playlist to sort by. In addition, command+f does not search the playlist. You can only search all of spotify with command+L.

I fixed this by moving the spotify application to the trash and downloading the installer again, which installed a newer version. I was unable to update this version from the about spotify menu.
