Can't add songs to playlist

I'm trying to add songs to a new playlist. After a certain point (unknown right now) this function stops working. I can't drag and drop a song to a playlist, nor can I right click and add it through the context menu. These are not local files. The problem is temporarily solved by restarting the app, but this is impractical and the problem inevitably comes back.

Reading through the posts on this forum, this is an ongoing issue, which is some bull**bleep**. Anyone have a fix for this?
