Can't connect to Google home speakers (Macbook)

My Question or Issue

I am using an iPhone, iMac and Macbook at home and listen via Google home. I can easily switch to Google speakers from iPhone and iMac. But with my Macbook I somehow can't. If music is playing on the speakers, I can see the speaker on Spotify on my Macbook, but when I first listen to music on my Macbook, I can't switch to the speakers.

I have de- and reinstalled Spotify for the current version. What can I do to fix this? In the forums I have not found anything helpful.

same thing happening to me. Have to play music on phone, connect to my google home speaker, and only then will it show up on my macbook
