My Question or Issue

As the title says, the song playing from the Play Queue can't be dragged to be added to a playlist. When you try it says "0 items". There are several posts about this already but the last one was from 2018. Would be nice if Spotify were to fix this...

Hey @hqql,

Thanks for getting in touch with us 🙂

Can you give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall? This one is more thorough than the usual one. By doing that you can make sure the app is up-to-date and the cache is not causing any issues.

Does this issue occur with another account on the same device? That way we can check if it's an account-related issue.

You can also send us a screen recording of what you're seeing. We'll investigate this further.

This was a persistent issue for me for ~ a year as well. Reinstalling/clearing cache/logging in out/restarting/reinstalling again for good measure didn't work either. With the new Spotify experience that's rolling out on Mac right now (I got it a few days ago), there's a new UI for the play queue and they appear to finally have fixed it - hopefully you get that soon? I was able to just drag the current song to a playlist without the dreaded "0 items"!
