Cannot find account on desktop app

Hi. I have a link to an account on the web app but I CAN'T open it on the desktop app. Here is the account: https://open.spotify.com/user/d9pc3swuenvqgirmv2tdyur6k

If I search for the username string it does not come up. in the web app there's no option to follow this user or open in the app.

What's going on?

nevermind, i was able to find it by doing spotify:user:d9pc3swuenvqgirmv2tdyur6k

however, this is not a optimal way to instruct people on how to follow our account...how do i promote the account?
