My Question or Issue
Does Spotify check for new Local files? It seems it doesn't. I added a few subfolders to the Local folders location, and it didn't see them. What do I do?
Hey @RXT1885,
Thanks for the post.
Try taking the songs out of the subfolder. The Spotify local files system can read only a single directory.
Let us know if that helps.
Are you kidding??? I have thousands of tracks in hundreds of subfolders reflecting albums. Squash them together so Spotify can play them???
Hi @RXT1885,
Thank you for your reply.
We understand that things can feel frustrating when things don't work as you'd like them to. Rest assured that we're always trying to improve as we always strive to improve our features.
We hope for your understanding and that you continue using Spotify and find it gets better in the future.
Let us know if we can help you with anything else.
Take care!
I can't believe Spotify still can't handle subfolders! It's an obvious, not to say ubiquitous, requirement for any self-respecting piece of software and not exactly rocket science to program. Come on Spotify, pull your socks up!!
