Codec sept. 2019

Codec sept. 2019

Hi,

Regarding this link https://support.spotify.com/us/article/high-quality-streaming/#_=_

Can someone tell me which codec is now used for the Desktop App, Smartphones and Tablet please?

Because as it's written here it seems that it's AAC everywhere now..

Can someone confirm or give details please?

Thank you

Dan

Probably still Ogg Vorbis for Desktop / Smartphones / Tablets as I think that there is no 160 kbps on AAC codec ... I think

Hi. I believe, it is still Ogg Vorbis.

According to this page:
https://artists.spotify.com/faq/mastering-and-loudness#can-users-adjust-the-levels-of-my-music

in the chapter "How does Spotify process my audio files?"

is mentioned Ogg Vorbis in all bitrates used for the desktop app.
