Connecting.... message at startup

Hello Guys,

 

I've been a premium users for a while now and recently I switched to the family plan and since then I've noticed that every single time I launch spotify (no matter what platform/device) it takes almost 10-20 seconds to connect. 

 

I really need help with this as this is making it an unusable program. I've tried everything I can think of (reinstalling, different platform, different machine/phones it makes no difference) ANY help will be highly appreciated.

Hi @JohnnyBGood,

 

Try accessing Preferences -- Local Files -- and uncheck "Downloads"

No offline downloads. Same behavior as on my iOS devices
