Hi all,
A number of users are experiencing some Spotify issues at the moment - crashing on startup, search not working, etc.
Could you help us out by posting the following info:
-- Operating system(s) affected
-- Version of Spotify
-- Country
Thanks everyone. The more accurate info we can collect the faster we can get this fixed.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Win 7 64 Bit,
Spotify 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
germany
client worked till i launched it today.
Same as Memnonia.
Win 7 64 Bit SP1,
Spotify 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
Country: Germany
Works again when I put Compatibility Mode to Windows 7, but that's not a real solution to me.
After spending an hour fighting this, as soon as I post it starts working. 🙂
Win 7 64 Bit SP1,
Spotify 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
Country: Germany
I already tried the deinstall, restart PC, reinstall routine.
Same problem today :
Windows 7
new version : 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
France.
Oh, wait... I just put my Compatibility Mode to Win 7, it started to work... You posted it works again -> putting Comp Mode back. -> Works.
So I just had a perfect timing to put on Comp Mode..... lol
It was crashing for me
OS: WIN 7
VS: 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
Country: UK
I downloaded Spotify and installed again and it seems OK so far.
Seems like it has to do with their Servers....
Still crashes as soon as I try to search for an artist.
Toplist loads... Albums and the rest does not most of the time. As Soon as it does Spotify crashes again.
Windows 7 x64 bit
Version 0.9.1.57 ge7405149
England, UK
I ran it with adminstrator privileges and it hasn't crashed since. So maybe I've fixed it!
Mine also crashes frequently at random instants (I reinstalled it and it seems to be in the same state):
-- Operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate, Service Pack 1,
-- Version of Spotify: 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
-- Country: Portugal
I downloaded an older version (6.5) in order to listen to music today. i'll give a try to the newest version tomorrow.
Crashing on startup just started here as well:
Windows 7 64-bit
Spain
Same thing here.
-- Win7 SP1 64 bits
-- Latest presumably
-- France
Windows XP Professional 2002 Service Pack 3
Spotify 0.9.1.57.ge.7405149
Italy
Spotify shuts down if I try to search or click an artist name. The same thing happens on the Android app.
It's really weird.
Hi all,
it seems to be working now.
ciao
same here, crashes right after start, i use windows 7 64bit.
This just started happening to me this morning, completely out of the blue.
-windows 7 (64-bit)
-0.8.3.222.g317ab79d
-netherlands
Edit: NVM, it appears to be working now?
Also the version I listed is the one displayed in the software tab in my configuration screen. The version of Spotify I have opened now and is working is 0.9.1.57.ge7405149.
Edit: It is somewhat working now. I can play some of my playlists. Yet if I search for songs things do not load and sometimes when I search things it just gives up and closes again.
4 pages in 4 hours and still no answer. I searched all over the internet and spotify does not care at all. The only solution they seem to offer is a "clean reinstallation" which does not work at all.
The 8.something versions seem to work but spotify update it automatically which means it will crash as soon as you'll close the program.
I did not find how to block the auto-update, if someone has an idea.
Anyways, the 6.5 version works but also auto-updates. I advise you not to close it.
Mine just started doing this today.
-Windows 7 Home Premium (service pack 1, 64 bit)
-Spotify v 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
-Denmark
Seems to crash instantly when i scroll down the discover page.
