Desktop App won't load

I am running macOS High Sierra 10.13, and when I open Spotify, the app opens to a black screen and the loading graphic keeps revolving without ever loading the app. The app only shows the dots arranged in a circle continuing to refresh but without loading the app. 

I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, but the problem is not solved. I have tried searching for the com.spotify.Client folder, but I cannot find it. 

Any help would be appreciated.
