[Desktop][Connect] Mac OS desktop bug -- syncing with other device

I'm running into a consistent sync issue between my mac and my iphone, when playing through my iphone. The desktop app seems to lose sync so that even when I pause playback on my phone, the desktop app shows the progress bar continuing to climb and the pause button doesn't swap for a play button.

I moved the app to trash and redownloaded and saw the same thing.

Note that I can send pause+skip requests from the desktop app but cannot resume (again, button doesn't swap with "play" button)
