[Desktop][Playlists] New Playlist Naming Bug | Drag & Drop vs. Right Click Menu

[Desktop][Playlists] New Playlist Naming Bug | Drag & Drop vs. Right Click Menu

Spotify (1.1.45.621.gdddebadc) Desktop Mac

When creating a new playlist direst from content, you have two options available to you. Each options results in a different name structure for that newly created playlist:

  1. Right click (control+click) on the content and use the "add to playlist" function.
    1. This results in creation of a playlist with naming format [ARTIST] - [ALBUM/TRACK]
  2. Drag and drop the content from the main content pane into an already existing playlist folder or at top level to create a new playlist outside of an existing playlist folder.
    1. This results in creation of a playlist with naming format [ALBUM/TRACK]-[ARTIST]

Therefore, users who utilize both methods end up with hard to read / follow lists of playlists.

This seems like it should be a very easy coding fix. Please do so.
