Hi. I've just joined Spotify, so please forgive the simple request, but where are song downloads stored in macOS Mojave?

Hey @chris7ben, welcome to the Community.

Hope you're doing great!

You can find that out if you go to Settings, scroll down until you reach Show Advanced  Settings then click on it. After that scroll down until you reach Offline Songs Storage.

To access Spotify settings, make sure the app is focused and hold CMD+,

Please note that's not possible to use these files outside Spotify.
