My Question or Issue
Hello,
A few days ago, I went into my spotify and it came up with an error randomly of ERROR 17, saying to change my proxy settings or firewall settings. I changed my proxy settings as per the suggestion of the spotify forum and that got me onto my spotify. However, right after that spotify came up with another error, error 4, saying that I'm not online when I clearly am.
I have rebooted everything and reinstalled everything to try to fix it which hasnt worked.
Help!!!!
Solved! Go to Solution.
If your proxy is causing you to have an ip address in another country, you may see ERROR 17. To rectify this error, make sure your the country you have slected in your profile matches that of the country of your proxy.
For Error 4, this is likely the result of an improper proxy configuration. Luckily, Spotify has an autodetect feature for proxy configurations. Toggle between AutoDetect and https (for https, you should be able to just leave the fields black)
Best of luck, let me know if that helps!
