Folders not shuffling/playing correctly

I have a hierarchy of folders and playlists, some followed, some my own, which I shuffle play to discover new music from diverse genres and sources. However lately when playing the top folder only about 200 tracks from a small handful of playlists will be queued repeatedly, often oddly with one track being queued twice in a row now and then. Some of the folders within the top folder refuse to shuffle at all. Is there something wrong on my end or is this a bug/deliberate oversight? I'm certain I could just play the playlists individually, but I'll really miss just hitting play and then having no idea what I'll get 😞 Thanks for any help!
