Getting ads even after the "watch this ad to get 30 mins ad free"

My Question or Issue

I listen to Spotify both on my way to the office and while working. As I enter the office, my phone (Android) plays one of those "listen to this ad to receive 30 mins of ad-free listening". Only a minute later, I sit down to work, flip open my macbook, and change spotify to play from it instead of my phone. One song plays and then I get ads, and it's not even 5 minutes into the ad-free half-hour.

It's the same account, I'm not behind a vpn on either device, i've only changed which device it's playing from, so not sure what the issue is.
