How long are the artist images cached?

I have a small visual issue with the Mac application. As a Spotify artist, I changed my avatar image almost a week ago, and it is correctly updated on all platforms I checked (iPhone, iPad, web player) except the Desktop Mac which still displays the previous avatar. Tested on iMac 2017 and MacBook Pro 2017.

It's not a big deal but still an annoyance. Is there a local image cache of some kind? If so, can it be purged somehow?

Nobody seems to know, so I answer myself. After ~10 days, the image was finally refreshed. Still, it would be useful to have a "Refresh Now" button or something.

In general, since you mention this only happens on your Mac device, we'd recommend following the steps in this Spotify Answer. This way, any leftover cached files should be removed before installing the app again in your device.
