I have no sound

I have no sound


When I click on the little speaker icon in the lower right (beside the volume bar) my Mac doesn’t appear as a device, nor is there any other device listed. I deleted Spotify and reinstalled it—didn’t help. I am in Canada on a 2019 MacBook Pro using Bur Sur Version 11.6.1

Thanks for reaching out. 


Good job on checking first whether or not a reinstall solves the issue, in most such cases it does. Could you confirm that you used the steps in this guide? They’re more thorough and make sure no damaged leftover files remain. You should go over them with all your devices to make sure they don't have any corrupted app files and are running the latest version.


Also, can you confirm that all of your devices are on the same network? Have you tried connecting them to a different one and see if they become visible via Connect?
