My Question or Issue

My spotify app on desktop stoped working.

I tried to download spotify again and i keep getting this message

"“Install Spotify” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash."

I have completely unistalled spotify from my macbook and still its not working.

Hope you're doing great!

Could you try downloading the installer from here?

Once it's downloaded try to move it to Desktop, the right click on it. When the menu appears hover over Open With and click Open.

Before you do that please check for any leftovers of the system by Spotify and remove them.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this. 

We can confirm the link provided by @Loxer is a legit one and it gets you to the correct file on the Spotify-website. 

Can you also try downloading the setup file from here? It leads to Apple's app store where you can also download the correct setup file.
